Here are some of our many great success stories:

Dear Daniel, Your book was a lifesaver! Our 2 year old black German Shepherd, Jack, came to us from a woman who was not able to cope with him herself. When he came to us at the beginning of the year he was a total handful. He was boisterous, aggressive, skittish and unresponsive…

…In the first month we were at our wits end and when I bought the Secrets to Dog Training books online we were a week from giving him up ourselves. We had the dominance training sorted from day one because we were aware that was going to be an issue otherwise but Jack had serious behavioral issues around food and walks that needed a lot of work.

In the months since we got and read the books he has become a different dog! Everyone says so. We have recently been told people suggest us to friends in the area who have dog trouble and we have helped socialise several problem pups with Jack (because its good for him as much as them) all thanks to Daniel and his book giving us that extra knowledge that has really rounded out our own understanding.

I recommend it ad nauseum! Jack still pulls on the lead he has good days and bad days but we are working on it. Jack now looks us in the eyes, can be walked off lead. Sits, Stays, Fetches, leaves he is a great play mate. He sits and waits so quietly for his dinner we have honestly forgotten he is still waiting once or twice and he has come to remind us 5 minutes later!

He doesn’t immediately run out if the front door is open and will happily sit outside with us if we are cleaning cars or talking out the front without dashing off. We have taken him from the most difficult, messed up dog, almost deliberately awful to a great member of our family. He is fun. He is funny. He is a joy and we wouldn’t give him up for anything! And we wouldn’t have gotten this far without the wonderful hints, tips and explanations from Daniel in his online books. The best buy ever!! Bar none!

We honestly have had dozens of comments on how good Jack has become. No joke!

Cheers Daniel I really appreciate all your good work has done for us!

“Hi, I bought the online book Secrets to Dog Training, because I have a big Guardian dog, and she was very aggressive to strangers in our house. I knew she could be trained because her mother was not aggressive. I got several good tips from the book as well as a personal email on how to correct her behavior.

It worked and she is now much much better. I am very pleased and satisfied I bought the book. Thanks a bunch Daniel for doing what you do.”

Subject: Jack has made GREAT progress!

Susan Caruso

“My husband and I adopted Jack (a one year old male Pug/Chihuahua mix) three months ago from a shelter (we are his third home in a year) and to put it mildly he was 20 pounds of terror– dominate, nipping, chewing and also had separation anxiety issues. He quickly earned the name ‘Jack The Nipper’.

I read a couple of books about dogs behaving badly, but felt that I needed a step-by-step approach to correct Jack’s unpleasant behavior. I researched the internet and came across Secrets to Dog Training, which I quickly downloaded, printed and read in one evening.

I immediately started with the Alpha Dog lessons and got across to Jack that I am the Alpha Mommy. I had no idea that doing something as simple as making him sit before I put his bowl of food down would make a difference in how Jack viewed me.

Jack has made great progress. He has become confident, less anxious and likes to practice commands every day. We still need to work on a few areas, but it’s only been less than three months! Jack is much happier knowing that we are the pack leaders who protect, feed and love him.

I recommend Secrets to Dog Training to everyone who has a dog as a companion. I have learned so much about dog behaviors and how to respond accordingly without yelling or intimidating. Thanks Dan for writing such a great learning tool!”

“Hi Daniel, It is with great pleasure that I am writing this for KingdomofPets.com. Secrets to Dog TrainingSecrets to Dog Training’s methods are positive and very proactive. was great! We have a crossed breed Poodle/Terrier and training him is extremely important to us since we live in high rise apartment.

Sumo, our pup, is doing great! At only 5 months old he sits, lies down, heals, stays, and even comes most of the time. We can not expect too much at his age but he is getting better everyday. Secrets to Dog Training continues to provide support through email which we feel is a priceless resource.”

Subject: Finally I can now control my dogs!

Carla J. Johnson

“I love Secrets to Dog Training. I rescued two German Shepherds and I did not know anything about dog obedience. One of my dogs was quite aggressive with other dogs, and crazy about chasing cats and squirrels. What I like about your book is that you give insights into what the dog is thinking, why they behave the way they do, and tips on what to do to correct the problem.

I have learned so much from your instructions, and my dogs are now following my commands and I am able to control them. Thanks for the great book.”

Purchasing A Golden Puppy We all know that Golden Retrievers are lovely, obedient, and make great family pets and hunting dogs. Goldens also make great guide dogs for the blind, narcotic detection dogs, and even tracking dogs for finding missing folks. Although there are many other dog breeds out there, Golden Retrievers remain one of the most flexible and most shocking breeds that you can get.

Before you go out and purchase a Golden Retriever puppy, you need to first take the time to learn a little more about the breed. You can attend dog shows, meet with various owners of Golden Retrievers, and even go to your local dog house club. Most of the people who own Golden Retrievers are highly happy with them and should be very pleased to share their enthusiasm with you.

When you buy you are Golden Retriever puppy, its always a great idea to buy from a yard breeder or local puppy mill. Backyard breeders are typically the simplest way to get a Golden puppy, as they know and care a lot about the breed generally. Though you can always go to a credible breeder, backyard breeders arent just in it for the money – they actually care about their dogs and want you to get the best Golden possible .

You can also visit the Golden Retriever Club of America and their local member clubs, as they can supply you with a list of breeders in your neighborhood. If these breeders do not have any Goldens for sale themselves, they will be more than willing to help you find what youre hunting for. This way, you can get a Golden from a very trustworthy source.

Whatever you do, you should not plunge into buying a Golden Retriever. You should usually take your time, and have a little bit of patience. When you purchase your young dog, you want a healthy puppy who will grow up to be a fine testament of the breed. By taking your time and making a careful decision, you can save yourself plenty of cash and time later on down the road.

Golden puppies that are low quality, are normally produced by breeders who just desire to have a litter or breeders who are just hunting for the profits and care very little about giving thoughts to looks, quality, or personality. If you buy a puppy from either of these breeders, youll more than likely finish up with a puppy who has poor health, poor temperaments, and even disqualifications in breed.

When you get your puppy, you should generally think long-term. Only buy from a quality breeder, and you shouldnt have anything to stress about. Always remember that you arent just buying a Golden Retriever puppy – you are purchasing a companion and a mate for life.

THE MOST intelligent POODLE.

THE MOST intelligent POODLE.
The Poodle is often acknowledged to be the most smartly clever of all members of the dog race. There is a general belief that he is a fop, whose time is largely occupied in private embellishment, and that he needs a great amount of individual attention in the matter of his toilet. It may be correct that to keep him in exhibition order and perfect cleanness his owner has need to dedicate more consideration to him than is mandatory in the case of many breeds , but in other respects he gives very little trouble, and all who are attached to him are consistent in their opinion that there’s no dog so intensely engaging and responsive as a companion.

His qualities of mind and his acute powers of reasoning are indeed so great that there is something virtually human in his attractiveness and his attention. His ability in learning is never denied, and many are the stories told of his fabulous talent and versatility. Not merely as a showman’s dog has he distinguished himself. He’s something more than a mountebank of the booths, trained to walk the tight rope and stand on his head. He’s an adept at performing tricks, but it is his concentration of brain that places him apart from other animals.

The profuse and long coat of this dog has the affectation that if not kept constantly brushed out it twists up into small cords which increase in length as the new hair grows and clings about it. The unshed old hair and the new growth twisted together so become distinct rope-like cords.
At last, if these cords aren’t cut short, or accidentally torn off, they drag along the ground, and so stop the poor animal from moving with any degree of comfort or freedom.

Corded Poodles are terribly showy, and from the noteworthy appearance of the coat, attract a large amount of public attention when exhibited at shows , but they have lost popularity among most fanciers, and have become few in number due to the clear fact that it is not possible to make pets of them or keep them in the house.

The reason of this is that the coat must, from time to time, be oiled to keep the cords pliable and stop them from snapping, and, naturally, as their coats can’t be brushed, the sole way of keeping the dog clean is to wash him, which with a corded
Poodle is a lengthy and laborious process.

Further, the coat takes hours to dry, and unless the just washed dog be kept in a warm room he is terribly liable to catch cold. The result is, that the coats of corded Poodles are almost invariably dirty, and somewhat smelly. Poodle’s
