eBay Alcohol Stove 2 – Boil Test 2

Posted in Homemade Beer Kits by admin April 20th, 2010

Wow! You people are tough. You don’t let me get away with anything.
A couple of videos back I did a video called “eBay Alcohol Stove 2 – Boil Test” where I tested my second “soda can” stove purchased from eBay, but instead of using the fuel combination the seller suggested I used denatured alcohol. Well, I had a bunch of viewers call me out on that telling me that I should have run the test using the seller’s fuel suggestion.

So in this video I correct that by running the test again this time using the 2 parts HEET and 1 part isopropyl alcohol (91%) suggested by the seller. I think this combination was just so the flames could be seen in the daylight rather than to be a better heating compound.

I want to thank the viewers that strived to keep me honest.

eBay Alcohol Stove 2 – Boil Test

Posted in Homemade Beer Kits by admin April 17th, 2010

I’ve had many requests, and I do mean many, to do more tests on hand-made alcohol stoves for sale on eBay. In this video I test my second stove purchased from eBay.

The sale included the stove, primer pan, pot stand and a penny all for a total of just $8.00. No shipping added. Nice deal!

If you’re interested in the stove and you can’t figure out who the seller is send me an email and I’ll tell you.

Update:
I been asked what is the weight of all this:
41g = 1.4 oz. = .09lb
That’s after the one burning, there might be something left in the stove.
